Estate & Asset Protection Attorney, Victoria Collier writes about how the variety of insurance companies were born of necessity and makes the case for the importance of having an asset protection plan in place in today’s litigious world.

DECATUR, GA, May 8, 2019: Victoria L. Collier, founder of The Estate & Asset Protection Law Firm, has posted a new blog on her law firm’s website entitled “In A Litigious World Asset Protection Is A Necessity,” in which Ms. Collier basically tells readers it’s better to be safe rather than sorry.

Collier writes, “We’ve heard it over and over that ‘Necessity is the mother of invention’.” “Necessity,” she continues, “has given birth to the custom of insuring our cars, our homes and our toys such as boats, as well as our valuable belongings such as jewelry.” Then she states that, “Most people typically think about what they are going to leave behind for their children, if anything. But so many people fail to consider that they could become the target of a lawsuit, either legitimately or falsely.”

According to Collier, “The fact is that people are looking for reasons to file a lawsuit. There are actually people who look for new businesses to target with a lawsuit.” She adds, “Likewise, you never know when someone might decide to come after you for whatever assets you might have.”
